Below we inform you in detail about the handling of your data in accordance with Art. 13 DSGVO.

1. Responsible party

This data protection information applies to the data collection and processing by the office named in the imprint. The name of the data protection officer is available on request.

2. Collection and storage of personal data as well as the type and purpose of their use

a) Visiting the website

When you visit our website www.treehouse.berlin, information is automatically sent to our website server by the browser used on your end device. This information is temporarily stored in a so-called log file. The storage in log files is done to ensure the functionality of the website. In addition, we use the data to optimise the website and to ensure the security of our information technology systems. An evaluation of the data for marketing purposes does not take place in this context.
 

The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required to achieve the purpose for which it was collected. In the case of the collection of data for the provision of the website, this is the case when the respective session has ended. In the case of storage of data in log files, this is the case after seven days at the latest. Storage beyond this period is possible. In this case, the IP addresses of the users are deleted or alienated so that an assignment of the accessing client is no longer possible.

The following information is collected without your intervention and stored until automatic deletion:

  • IP address of the requesting computer,
  • date and time of access,
  • name and URL of the file accessed,
  • website from which the access was made (referrer URL),
  • browser used and, if applicable, the operating system of the device used as well as the name of your access provider. 

The aforementioned data is processed by us for the following purposes:

  • ensuring a smooth connection set-up of the website,
  • ensuring a comfortable use of our website,
  • evaluating system security and stability, and
  • for other administrative purposes.
The legal basis for the data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. f DSGVO. Our legitimate interest follows from the data collection purposes listed above. In no case do we use the collected data for the purpose of drawing conclusions about your person.

b) Contact form

We offer you the possibility of contacting us via a form provided on the website. For this purpose, it is necessary to enter your name and email address. Further information such as telephone number can be given voluntarily. Your personal data will only be used to answer your request.
 
Data processing for the purpose of contacting us is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. a DSGVO on the basis of your voluntarily given consent. The personal data collected by us for the use of the contact form will be deleted as soon as they are no longer required to achieve the purpose for which they were collected, i.e. after the request or conversation submitted by you has been dealt with.
 

3. Passing on of data

Your personal data will not be passed on to third parties for purposes other than those listed.

We only pass on your personal data to third parties if:
  • you have given your express consent in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. a DSGVO,

  • the disclosure is necessary for the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f DSGVO and there is no reason to assume that you have an overriding interest worthy of protection in the non-disclosure of your data,

  • in the event that there is a legal obligation to disclose your data pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. c DSGVO, or

  • this is legally permissible and necessary for the processing of contractual relationships with you according to Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. b DSGVO.

4. Cookies

We use cookies on our website. These are small files that your browser automatically creates and that are stored on your end device (laptop, tablet, smartphone or similar) when you visit our site. When a user accesses a website, a cookie may be stored on the user’s operating system. This cookie contains a characteristic sequence of characters that enables the browser to be uniquely identified when the website is called up again. Cookies do not cause any damage to your end device and do not contain viruses, Trojans or other malware.

Information is stored in the cookie that arises in connection with the specific end device used. However, this does not mean that we obtain direct knowledge of your identity.

The use of cookies serves, on the one hand, to make the use of our offer more pleasant for you. We use so-called session cookies to recognise that you have already visited individual areas of our website. These are automatically deleted after you leave our site.

In addition, we also use temporary cookies to optimise user friendliness, which are stored on your end device for a certain fixed period of time. The data processed by cookies is necessary for the aforementioned purposes to protect our legitimate interests and those of third parties in accordance with Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. f DSGVO. On the other hand, we use cookies to statistically record the use of our website and to evaluate it for the purpose of optimising our offer for you. These cookies are automatically deleted after a defined period of time.

When accessing our website, the user is informed about the use of cookies for analysis purposes and his or her consent to the processing of personal data used in this context is obtained. In this context, a reference to this data protection declaration is also made.

The legal basis for the processing of personal data using cookies for analysis purposes is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO if the user has given his respective consent.

Most browsers accept cookies automatically. However, you can configure the browser you use in such a way that no cookies are stored on your device or a message always appears before a new cookie is created. However, the complete deactivation of cookies may mean that you cannot use all the functions of our website. 

5. Data subject rights

In relation to the processing of your personal data, you have the following rights under the GDPR:

  • right to information according to Art. 15 DSGVO
    You can request information about your personal data processed by us, in particular about the information listed in Art. 15 DSGVO.

  • right to rectification according to Art. 16 DSGVO
    You may request the correction of incorrect or incomplete personal data stored by us without delay.

  • right to deletion according to Art. 17 DSGVO 
    You can request the deletion of your personal data stored by us, unless the processing is necessary for the exercise of the right to freedom of expression and information, for the fulfilment of a legal obligation, for reasons of public interest or for the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims.

  • right to restriction of processing Art. 18 DSGVO
    You may request the restriction of the processing of your personal data if the accuracy of the data is disputed by you, the processing is unlawful, yet you object to its deletion and we no longer need the data, but you require it for the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims or you have objected to the processing pursuant to Art. 21 DSGVO.

  • right to data portability according to Art. 20 DSGVO
    You may receive your personal data that you have provided to us in a structured, common and machine-readable format or request that it be transferred to another responsible party.

  • right to revoke consent given in accordance with Art. 7 (3) DSGVO
    You can revoke your consent at any time. This means that we may no longer process the data based on this consent in the future.

  • right of objection according to Art. 21 DSGVO
    If your personal data is processed on the basis of legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. f DSGVO, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data pursuant to Art. 21 DSGVO, insofar as there are grounds for doing so that arise from your particular situation or the objection is directed against direct advertising. In the latter case, you have a general right of objection, which is implemented by us without specifying a particular situation. If you wish to make use of your right of revocation or objection, it is sufficient to send an email to aloha@treehouse.berlin.

  • right to complain to a supervisory authority according to Art. 77 DSGVO
    You can complain to a supervisory authority. As a rule, you can contact the supervisory authority of your usual place of residence or workplace or the place of the alleged infringement.

6. Data security

We use appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, partial or complete loss, destruction or against unauthorised access by third parties. For example, we use the widespread SSL (Secure Socket Layer) procedure in conjunction with the highest level of encryption supported by your browser when you visit our website. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.
